Flower Care
Congratulations! You recently received a bouquet or arrangement from Johnson Family Flowers and we hope it is bringing you the joy you needed today. We want your bouquet to remain beautiful for as long as possible so for tips on keeping your stems fresh, try the tips below.
Please remember that cut flowers have a single purpose, to live out the last of their days bringing outside beauty into your space. It brings a smile to our face knowing that these blooms will get to spend their last days with you!

Tip #1
When your bouquet arrives check the water. You will want to change the water often to ensure it does not get cloudy. Cloudy water is a sign of shorter stem life, but an easy fix is to keep fresh, clean water in your vase.
Tip #2
If you decide to change the water, go ahead and inspect those stems. Trimming stems at a 45 degree angle will allow fresh water to reach the stem and flower. We recommend trimming the stems every 2-3 days.
Tip #3
While we hope you are excited to show off your blooms, it is best to keep your flowers away from heat and direct sunlight. This will ensure the flowers do not get overstressed while in the vase.
Tip #4
Remove any wilted flowers along the way. Parting is such sweet sorrow, but letting go of those wilted stems will ensure the others do not become contaminated. Once your blooms are all spent, compost them and clean your vase well to reuse again.
